Every project team or individual thinks that if we set timelines and brief the team of the requirement, a Project Management team is then not necessary but it is not as simple as it may look. One may hire the Project Manager and a supporting team or completely outsource project management to an agency. Outsourcing initially may look very risky but it does have lot of benefits. To start with; the project management team does not need to be employed by the company and the management company can assign a manager who has experience with the type of project you are taking on. That way project has less chances of failure as the project management team can use their lesson-learnt database to avoid failure.

A project management company can select a best resource suited for that particular type of project. Project Manager can focus on the success of the project and lower cost admin staff for support. External project managers can look at things more objectively. They can bring the shortcomings to your notice without any fear.
